A Historic Season Comes to an End for the YULA Panthers

In the 31 year history of YULA baseball this 2011 team will be remembered and respected for their accomplishment of making it to the playoffs for only the 2nd time in school history.

Led by captains Adin Kanefsky and Josh Schoen, they battled through many games in which they were considered the underdog, yet they managed to overcome that label and more than double the amount of wins of last year’s season. Having 13 returning players, the team has an extraordinary amount of confidence and is looking forward to the 2012 season. The two seniors, captain, Adin Kanefsky, and 3rd baseman, Daniel Baly, will be leaving the team with the honor of being only the 2nd group of seniors in YULA baseball history to make playoffs.

Every player on the team has greatly improved throughout this season, whether it was in his batting skills, fielding abilities, or most importantly, their mindset on and off the field. A special thank you to the head coach, TJ Runnels, for his unbelievable amount of effort and time put into this outstanding team.

An additional thanks to the parents of the athletes who supported the team with their attendance throughout the year. We look forward to next season and seeing our historic returning athletes do it once again.
