Boys Cross Country

After returning from Sukkot break, your YULA Panthers cross country team had a demanding week ahead of them.  With a league competition on Wednesday and the Milken invitational on Thursday the team was going to be challenged both mentally and physically.

The league meet was hosted by fellow league team Oakwood, at North Hollywood Park.  Freshman Noam Posner continued his great season finishing 8th with a time of 16:27 and senior Sammy Azair finished 24th 18:17. Shmuel Oles (20.02), Josh Sadik (20:11) and Jon Sadik (20:22) rounded out our top five.

The Milken invitational gave YULA a chance to compete against non-league opponents.  The 2.8 mile flat course near Lake Balboa suited our teams running style perfectly.  YULA had their best race of the year, finishing in 3rd place as a team.  We had two runners in the top ten.  Freshman Noam Posner finished 4th and senior Sammy Azair finished 8th.  YULA is performing their best at the right time of the year.  The momentum of this race will help prepare us for the Liberty League championships next week.

Our next race is November 4th at Pierce College in Woodland Hills.
