YULA Athletics: Week in Review

On Tuesday, your first place soccer team faced fellow Liberty League opponent New Jewish Community and lost 6-4. YULA was beset by injuries, with three key defensive players injured and unable to play at full strength. One bright spot was December Athlete of the Month, Yoni Elkayim, who scored a career high 4 goals. Come out and support your YULA Panthers on Wednesday, January 18, as we take on Concordia High School at 3:00 at Hansen Dam.

On Wednesday, the YULA Panthers took on the new look Providence Pioneers in basketball. The night started off on a good note, with your JV team winning by 12 points, 55-43. Moshe Willner and Noam Posner had great games, each having a double double. The Varsity team unfortunately did not have the same result. They lost 71-66. This was their first loss in almost 10 months. Jack Gindi had a good game with 22 points and 14 rebounds. The next game will be this Saturday night against Glendale Adventist at 8 pm at Glendale Adventist High School.
