JV Basketball Continues its Dominance

The JV basketball season is under way, and the team has seen a great deal of success so far. The team is comprised of 9 freshman and 6 Sophomores. Since the team is young and fresh, the coaching staff focused on improving the players' individual skills as well as teaching them how to work as a cohesive team.
"I think that as a team, we are working really well together and learning a lot about the YULA basketball system," said first-year coach, Mike Pollack. "We continuously strive for improvement each game as the team is becoming more accustomed to each others' playing styles. We see the YULA way of basketball coming through.”
After seven undefeated games, we are proud to announce that your YULA Panther JV team is 7-0! They have an average winning margin of 27 points per game. “Even though we are undefeated, we still have a lot of learning and goals to accomplish,” said Coach Pollack. “But the guys work really hard and have really improved, individually and as a team. We are peaking at the right time. We want to be playing our best basketball when the League competition starts.”
Sophomore Noam Posner and Daniel Tzion agreed with Coach Pollack, adding, “This JV team has a wide variety of strengths and talents. I feel that we have really begun to come together.” Our next Game is Saturday, Dec 22nd at 7:30 PM at the JCC.
