Noam Posner Awarded League Finals Champion in Three Races

On Wednesday, May 7th, YULA junior Noam Posner became the League Finals Champion in three different events (1600m, 800m, 200m). Noam executed his 1600m run very well, leading the entire race from start to finish. For the first three laps, he was trailed very closely by Louis DeHann of Pacifica Christian. On the last lap heading down the final straight away, Noam was able to out kick and build some separation to hold the lead and win the race.

Noam's best performance was in his 800m run where he showed how mentally and physically tough he can be. At the start of the race, a rival athlete shot out ahead of the pack, instantly showing signs that he wouldn't be able to maintain that rate of speed. Resisting the urge to match the pace, Noam kept his composure and ran the pace he's trained to run. On the second lap, Noam claimed the first place position then pulled away from the rest of the crowd and won in a no-contest convincing fashion.

The 200m dash is a race Noam does not specialize in and only races because he can run three events. It's also something that comes after both the 1600m and 800m runs. However, that didn't stop Noam from competing and winning his 3rd League Finals Championship Title that day.

All in all, Noam Posner represented YULA very well and showed that with hard work, you can achieve great success. Yashar Koach Noam!
